I'm still sick

I still have this terrible lingering cough. And it makes me so weary. I hate taking medicine, and I don't think it works anyway. I've been taking Nyquil and Robutussin, and they haven't relieved my cough. They just make me sleepy and sort of loopy. I slept so much today! I think I slept for about 16 hours, and I'm still coughing. Oh please help me, someone.
