Women

I love women who are strong, beautiful, smart, and funny. I know a lot of women who are not comfortable with other women, and I always find that strange. Everytime I meet a woman who feels threatened by other women, I feel a bit sad for them. They can't appreciate what another woman can offer -- experience, support, guidance, nurturing, laughs, style and presence. What straight guy can give you experience with menstrual cramps, give you support when you most need it and in a way you need it, guidance on how to avoid sexism at work, nurturing when you're sick or heartbroken, laughs about the silly and sublime, and I don't think most guys even know what I'm talking about when I mention style and presence. I wonder what most women think about this subject...

My earliest memory

Chickens. I'm in Taipei, Taiwan. I am probably only 2 years old since I moved to the U.S. when I was 3 1/2. My parents live in an apartment building with a balcony. We probably live on the third floor. On the ground floor, there are chickens, in a dirt patch, with a fence around them. I love to watch them. In my memory, the chickens seem to occupy a lot of my 2 year old mind. I remember throwing them food once in awhile, although what I threw them, I really do not know.

Good Friday

I'm not a particularly religious person, but I've noticed that every single year, on Good Friday, it's cloudy.
