YES THEY CAN CARVE!

My friend, Autumn, found this site and shared it with me...

In honor of Halloween and the Election, people are carving Obama pumpkins! (I think they should carve McCain/Palin or Bush...cuz they're scarier.)

We're less than a month away!!

Piper is perfect!

Piper is the perfect name for our new baby. She's definitely got a set of pipes on her. I think her name shall be...Piper Pavarotti Pinga. lol. But we're going to keep her. She's just too darn cute, and we're acting like two lovesick parents who are getting very little sleep but enjoying every minute.

Piper has blue eyes, and they're even prettier now than when we first got her. I've been wanting to videotape her, but haven't gotten around to charging the batteries on the camera.

As for the wedding, I found a dress! I bought it on Saturday, and I kinda flipped out on Sunday...worrying about whether I paid too much, whether it will be too big/fancy for a beach wedding, etc. My mom helped me get a very good deal on it...40% off! It's a designer dress, but it's a sample so it helped to get the price down.

Now, we just need to find a venue. Found a couple of places we LOVE, but they're all quite expensive. Everything is getting closer to $50,000!!! I would buy the loft next door and use that for a down payment before I'd drop that on a wedding!!! And since we're paying for this wedding on our own, it really doesn't make sense. There's got to be a place that's just as beautiful, elegant, not too stuffy, not too casual, and way under 50-grand!!??!!!

More photos of the kitten...see post below

Anyone Want a Kitten?

We came across this abandoned kitty while walking around downtown Friday. She was about to cross a busy street so Anthony gallantly scooped her up and rescued her! She's about 3-4 weeks and still needs to be bottle-fed. We took her to the vet and found out she was a female and that, besides fleas, she's perfectly healthy. I have never seen anything sooo tiny in my life! She also has quite the pipes on her, so I jokingly said her name should be Pavarotti (when I thought she might be a boy). But I think we're settling on Piper. What do you think her name should be? And do you know anyone who might be able to give her a loving home?
